About us

RailHOF is a collaborative project between the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA) and the International Union of Railways (UIC) to promote railway safety focussing on integration of human and organisational factors (HOF) and safety culture. The aim of this digital online platform is to build and spread knowledge, research and information and exchange operational practices and experiences on HOF in the railway domain.

A user-centred design approach was used all along the development process of RailHOF from the initial needs analysis to the development of the platform including structure and content.

Independence, impartiality and professionalism are guaranteed by an editorial team made up of volunteers representing the worldwide HOF expertise found in both organisations.
